Adapted from Carmina Gadelica

<lift a cup of water or other drinkable>

    I lift this cup

In the eye of the Mother who bears us,
In the eye of the Father who begets us,
In the eye of the Universe that indwells us.

    In friendship and affection.

Oh, Great Kindreds, bless this water
That we may partake of Thy gifts.
Bestow upon us in the fullness of Thine abundance:

      The blessings of Love,
      The blessings of Wisdom,
      The blessings of Fertility,

That we may do in the world of the Three
As the Ageless Ones do in the Otherworld.

      Each shade and light,
      Each day and night,
      Each time in kindness,

          Give Thou us Thy Blessing.

<drink from the cup, then pour the rest onto the Earth>
