Currently, Tuatha De Brighid has two levels of membership: Friend and Folk.
If you like what you see on this site, and would like to join our community, and participate in all our educational and ritual activities, please do consider joining us as Friend. We would love to have you. The only thing we ask is that you don’t cast stones on other people’s beliefs and spirituality, don’t express bigoted opinions (we’d prefer that you don’t have them, but, hey, what you think is up to you), and remember that this is not just an org, it’s an extended family - we take the Mystery of Sacred Kinship quite seriously.
Once you have been Friend for a bit, and got to know us, you might consider becoming Folk. Being Folk is a special path within TDB. It is a path of deep commitment and service. Folk are responsible for running TDB.
It should be noted that being Friend is not merely a stepping-stone towards becoming Folk. Most people, when they think carefully about it, do not want to spend a significant part of their time and effort in running an organization. It is labor-intensive, often frustrating, and frequently takes away from simply enjoying the community and the Tradition.
However, if you are willing to make a serious commitment - and it bears repeating that we do take it very seriously, because it’s a sacred commitment of Kinship - then, by all means, write to our Spirit Chief, and he or she would be happy to set you up with a mentor and start you on a short course we require our Folk to finish.
As one of our Folk members put it:
“Other orgs want your money - send us your $30 or $50 and you are a member. We don't want your money, we want you. Really! By the time you get acquainted with us and we with you we do not want you to go away and leave us wondering what happened to our friend.”
To become a Tuatha De Brighid Clann Friend, please complete our Friend Application Form.
You can do this by filling our an on-line form, or by answering the questions in plain text and sending us an email with your answers.
